This guide will show you what faction warfare is, how you can participate and what your rewards will be.

This lovely old man is the Faction Master of Thetford. He can be found near the South East exit.
Click on him and this window will open:

It might differ slightly if you click it the first time. You need to enlist for the faction first by clicking enlist. (If it is not possible, it will tell you what you need to unlock.)
Once Done you click on FLAG
Two things now changed, you have a flag near your name and next to your name above your head.

In this case it means that the player is flagged for Thetford.
As long as you stay in the yellow zones, you are now safe from full PvP flagged players and you can earn yourself some standing and coins.
To get to your personal stats, you click on the scroll for activities and then on Faction Warfare

Here you see all your details and info how you do in faction warfare.

With everything you do while flagged (Gathering, Dungoneering and Warfare) you earn standing and faction coins.
The higher your standing with the faction, the more coins you get. These coins can be traded at the faction master for goodies. (I recommend the faction warfare chest for 9.000 coins per chest for a good amount of fame, sliver and resources to either craft or trade)
Once you reached the rank of Arcane Warrior you will get a standing penalty, but you will never drop below that rank.
There are 2 ways to earn faction standing while fighting. The first would be fighting and capturing outposts.

Each Outpost is marked as a small flag with a number on the minimap (green mark). Does it have the same color as your faction, it belongs to you and can serve as a small spot for protection.
Outposts are guarded by Knights (orange mark) and a Guardian (red mark). To conquer an outpost, you need to kill all knights and the guardians.
Once you killed everyone this circle will change its color, indicating you are taking over.

The outpost is yours once it is fully changed to your color.

Once you have taken over at least half of the outpost in one zone, a timer starts ticking. Once this bar is full, the zone belongs to your faction and you get some standing and coins.

If you open the map and switch to Faction Warfare Mode (green mark) you will see the status of the zones, how many outpost are there, who is the owner and how long until it is fully captured.
You will also see stars below the name of the zones (red marks). The more stars a zone has filled, the more it was fought over and the more coins and standing you will get for capturing it.
The continent is now seperated in provinces. Each province has 4 zones under its controll and a castle to rule over it.
After each engagement or defense of a province, a new supply war starts. Conditions are easy: If the defender gains more supply points until the next siege timer.
There are two ways to win the supply wars:
The best way to contribute to the supply war, is to controll the zones of a province over a long period of time. Zones generate supply over time and the more you hold, the better it is.
They are like normal camps but once you cleared them of the enemies and open the chest, you get a fixed amount of supplies, depending on the size of the camp.
At specific times, the supply war is resloved with two possible outcomes:
If the defenders have more supplies than the attacker, no siege will happen and the flow turns around.
If the attackers have more supplies, a siege will happen.
It is split in 3 phases.
Once a siege is triggered, attackers and defenders mass in the zone of of the province where, the castle is.
Remember to bring food and a siege hammer! You will need the hammer in the next phase.
As the timer of the preparation reaches 0, the attack begins. The attackers now must break walls and gates to reach the top of the castle.
Walls can be repaired from the inside. Gates cannot.
Once the attackers reach the top of a castle, a last wave of defender NPCs are spawned. The attackers now must kill the NPCs and make sure, no defender is in the circle on the top.
Then the ring there will start switching colors. If the attackers manage to flip the color fully, the castle will belong to the attackers.
If the defenders manage to hold the castle for the full duration, the attackers loose.
The time for the attack is limited though. Once the siege starts a bar will appear on top of the screen. It will fill over time. If it fills completely, the defenders win.
You will be teleported to the nearest friendly outpost and you will loos 5% durability of your gear. There is a repair station in the northern corner of every outpost where you can repair your gear.
This is a special faction warfare event in the red zones and it is lethal.
We have a special role for it called ALB/FactionWarfare you can get it the channel content-roles
For easy point we recommend a blight staff. Ranged DPS is also always an easy way to help without getting into much trouble. For more builds, check out the Armory in the discord.
